I skip the boring tourist traps. This guide is a compilation of feet-on-the-ground research, curated for photogenic spots, juicy gourmet lines, and seamless luggage forwarding. Roam Tokyo hands-free and shoot editorial-grade memories.
Day 1
Shibuya Trend Street: Photogenic Landmarks & Juicy Hambagu
Arriving in Shibuya at 11 AM via early flight? Lockers at Shibuya Station are highly likely to be full, and hotel check-in isn't open yet. Saori strongly advises against dragging bags across Shibuya Crossing. Book ecbo cloak space at Shibuya Modi and explore hands-free!
Shibuya Modi 2F ecbo cloak partner point

chano-ma Shibuya
Dine right inside the Shibuya Modi building where your luggage is stored! This trendy café is famous for its cozy 'white tatami bed' seating. Take off your shoes and relax on the plush white beds while enjoying healthy Japanese home-style obanzai (small plates) and seasonal sweets. Perfect for travelers looking to recharge right after a flight.
Head downstairs from Modi to explore Shibuya's Jinnan fashion district and MIYASHITA PARK. At 15:50, take a 8-minute walk to Shibuya Scramble Square for SHIBUYA SKY.
SHIBUYA SKY Observation Deck
Be sure to book the 16:15 slot! Head straight to the northwest corner sofa area upon entry; the sunset view of Mount Fuji is breathtaking. Note that it's windy, security is strict, and large bags/tripods must be locked in basement lockers.
We recommend staying in Shinjuku tonight for easy access to shopping and subway lines tomorrow. Here are Saori's three handpicked spots:
Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo
Instagram paradise and design heaven. Infused with NY modern art vibes, the rooms are exceptionally stylish. The Jones Cafe & Bar on 2F is a highly popular social hotspot!
Onshu Ryokan Yuen Shinjuku
Features a rooftop natural hot spring bath sourced from Hakone. Soak in the tub with a view of Shinjuku skyline, letting all your walking fatigue melt away.
UNPLAN Shinjuku
Top budget traveler pick. A hostel with Nordic minimalist aesthetics. Only a 3-minute walk from Shinjuku-sanchome Station. Clean, cozy, and affordable!
Day 2
Tsukiji Market Feast & Historic Asakusa Stroll
No hotel transfer today. Leave your bags in your room and travel light with just a camera and small pack!
Stay at original hotel (Yuen Shinjuku)
Tsukiji Outer Market
Although the inner market relocated, the outer market is still a seafood paradise! Try Kitsuneya's famous beef offal bowl, and Yamacho's freshly made tamagoyaki (only 200 JPY). Arrive early to beat the crowd; after 10 AM, it becomes tourist central.
Take the Oedo Line from Tsukiji-shijo Station for 6 stops to Kuramae Station, then walk to the cafe.
KONCENT x SOL’S COFFEE
Known as Tokyo's Brooklyn. A 1-minute walk from Kuramae Station A1 Exit leads to this design shop and cafe fusion. Enjoy quality coffee while browsing stylish household goods. Don't miss their homemade honey lemon soda for a refreshing boost!
Walk north along Sumida River terrace with a view of Tokyo Skytree. In about 22 minutes, you will reach the iconic Kaminarimon gate.
Sensō-ji Kaminarimon Gate
Take a look at the bottom of the giant Kaminarimon lantern to find a beautiful dragon wood carving. Nakamise-dori is usually packed; Saori's secret is to walk along the parallel West-Sando shopping street, full of retro izakayas and fish-scooping stalls for an Edo-period vibe.
After the stroll, head to the dinner location.
Kushiwakamaru (串若丸)
A highly-popular, legendary yakitori shop hidden in a quiet alley near Nakameguro underpass. Famous for its exceptionally soft, melt-in-your-mouth sweet soy chicken liver and large, juicy charcoal-grilled salt-scallion chicken thighs. Sitting at the lively counter offers an authentic, delicious local experience.
Stay at the same hotel tonight. No luggage packing needed!

Day 3
Hotel Transfer: Nakameguro & Shimokitazawa Vintage Hunting
Moving hotels from Shinjuku to Ueno. Lugging suitcases through Tokyo subway is a nightmare! Saori's tip: After checking out at 10 AM, leave bags with the front desk and use LuggAgent for same-day hotel-to-hotel delivery. Head to Nakameguro empty-handed; your bags will await you in your Ueno room by evening!
LuggAgent Same-Day Luggage Delivery Service
Starbucks Reserve® Roastery Tokyo (Nakameguro)
One of the few Starbucks Roasteries in the world! Features four floors; we highly recommend sitting on the 3F outdoor terrace facing Meguro River. Their cold brew whiskey-barrel aged coffee is an absolute must-try, presented beautifully like perfume.
Take Toyoko Line from Nakameguro to Shibuya, then transfer to Keio Inokashira Line to Shimokitazawa.
Rojiura Curry SAMURAI. Shimokitazawa
Shimokitazawa is a hot battleground for soup curry, and this spot serves a masterpiece! A large bowl packed with over 20 colorful seasonal vegetables in a rich, sweet broth. Saori's choice: coconut broth, spice level 3, with crispy chicken leg.
Walk east for 3 minutes to enter the heart of Shimokitazawa's vintage shopping district.
Shimokitazawa Vintage District (Senryoki Street)
Vintage heaven! Newly opened 'RELAY' and 'BONUS TRACK' are highly worth visiting. For vintage clothes, remember to check cuffs and collar seams. Saori's top recommendation is 'New York Joe Exchange', a retro store converted from an old bathhouse.
Take subway to Asakusa for dinner.
Asakusa Imahan Kokusai-dori Branch
A legendary sukiyaki restaurant founded in 1895. The Kuroge Wagyu beef melts in your mouth! Saori suggests ordering the premium wagyu set. The hostess cooks at your table, making it a feast of flavors. Reservation is mandatory to avoid massive queues.
We stay in Ueno/Asakusa area for the second half of the trip. Luggage already delivered via LuggAgent:
The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon by Hulic

Highly recommended design hotel! Furniture and tableware are crafted by local Ueno artisans. The 1F dining atmosphere is superb, and it's just a 5-minute walk to Ueno Station.

Walk 5 minutes inside Fantasy Springs to Arendelle Castle for a royal banquet lunch.
Royal Banquet of Arendelle (阿倫黛爾皇家宴會廳)
A beautiful dining experience inside Arendelle Castle in the Frozen Kingdom area! Feast like royalty in the coronation hall surrounded by grand paintings and royal details. The signature 'Arendelle Royal Set' features hearty slow-cooked beef pie and smoked salmon potato salad. Day 5
Ameyoko Shopping & Skyliner to Narita Airport
Check out at 11 AM, but flight departs at 18:00. Dragging suitcases through Ameyoko is impossible. Saori's trick: Store bags at ecbo cloak partner inside Keise Ueno Station right after checkout. You will board Skyliner here anyway; grab bags and hop onto the train for a 100-point route!

Bistro NOHGA (NOHGA HOTEL UENO 1F)
Dine inside the stylish and contemporary Bistro NOHGA on the 1st floor of NOHGA HOTEL UENO. Ameyoko Shopping District
Cheapest spot for cosmetics and snacks! Visit 'Niki no Kashi' for wholesale snack shopping. For cosmetics, check 'OS Drug'. While tax-free isn't available and only cash is accepted, their raw prices are often cheaper than tax-free elsewhere!
Departure day. No accommodation required. Have a safe flight!
